Accommodation options in Dubrovnik consist of
a number of hotels and boarding houses, all within 5 minutes walking distance
from the symposium venue.
Symposium Secretariat has reserved for IDS2008 delegates a
number of rooms in Grand Hotel Park**** (http://www.grandhotel-park.hr)
(Symposium Venue), Kompas Hotel*** (www.hotel-kompas.hr),
Perla Hotel*** (http://www.perla-dubrovnik.com)
and Adriatic Hotel*** (http://www.hotelimaestral.com).
The specially negotiated hotel prices are given in the Registration Form. If
you need accommodation in one of those hotels, please fill that in the Registration
Form. ATLAS Travel Agency will confirm your booking by return mail. You are
strongly advised to use this service since the regular hotel rates you would
get are higher!
For any other kind of accommodation, delegates are responsible
for making their own reservations by contacting the other hotels, boarding houses
or private appartments directly.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
Beginning of September is still high season in Dubrovnik and
it might be a real problem to find an accommodation if not booked well in advance.
Student Accommodation
There are few options for cheap accommodation in Dubrovnik
suitable for students.
Youth hostel Dubrovnik (Lapad penninsula) is very convenient for this puropse.
Hostel has 82 beds. You should make reservation and payment
on your own. Be sure to book in advance: http://www.hfhs.hr/
The Symposium venue is a 10 minutes drive by city bus from the Hostel. The bus
stop is located close to the Hostel. From the Hostel take a bus number 4 or
5 and get out at the fifth stop (known as Post Office). Cross the street and
walk a few minutes to the Grand Hotel Park.
